Gandhi Jayanti celebrations at The British School, Panchkula

Panchkula: Gandhi Jayanti was celebrated with great enthusiasm in both the branches of The British School, Panchkula. Children were apprised on the value of truth and justice in the life.

Students sang Gandhi ji’s favourite bhajan “Raghupati Raghav Raja Ram” with great fervor. They were given information on the life of Mahatma Gandhi through a documentary. The students of UKG recited the poem “Gandhi Ji Ke Bandar Teen” which was applauded by all. Few motivational games were also played with the students which taught them the significance of team spirit, leadership and ethics. It ended with Indian National Anthum ‘Jan Gan Man’ sung by the students and the staff.

On this occasion, the Principal of the school, Ms.Anita Mehra said, “Mahatma Gandhi had a natural love for ‘truth’ and ‘duty’. With his complete dedication and confidence, Gandhi freed India from the British Rule and proved the world that freedom can be achieved with non-violence.”
