Even as 30,000 people did yoga at Capitol Complex Chandigarh to mark the second International Day of Yoga, on the city outskirts there was different yoga rhythm altogether. A special session was conducted by the Art of Living foundation for scores of officers and employees of a renowned organization, who had an enthusiastic morning breaking away from their usual work pattern. The session was conducted by faculty Dr. Neha Miglani and was assisted by young volunteers of the organization. “The morning was very refreshing and different. The session has inspired me to imbibe such values and practices in my daily routine,” said one of the participants. Jubilant employees had a reason to smile, enjoying the protocol yoga and what made the session even more unique was the togetherness witnessed, with officers and junior staff together sweating out in a bid to do yoga.
Taking yoga to the world, Art of Living foundation has been actively working in the field of ‘yoga awakening’ for decades now. The celebrations for the 2nd International Day of Yoga at the European Parliament was inaugurated by Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, founder of the Art of Living Foundation, who traveled there from India.
