Chandigarh: GGDSD College, Sector 32, Chandigarh, organized the globally recognized event, TEDx. The event witnessed a variety of renowned speakers from progressive bureaucrats to young entrepreneurs. The theme of the event was ‘Ideas Worth Spreading’ and consisted of powerful talks. The event brought brilliant minds together under one roof to address unattended issues and innovative ideas.
The audience listened with rapt attention to all the eminent speakers and their views. Eminent speakers such as Vikram Sridhar, actor and founder of ‘Tahatto’, spoke on power of stories in an outsourced world and Raul Rodriguez, neuroscientist, talked about the deceptive interpretation of Islam. While Dhananjay Chauhan, president of Saksham Trust, talked about the struggles faced by the LGBT community, Vivek Atray, a bureaucrat, orator and writer, chose to speak on what it means to be an Indian in a globalized world. Bharat Bhushan, a renowned IES officer, was also present, whose speech emphasized on liberation of intellect. Kanan Tandi, founder of Body Speaks Better opted for an out of the box topic, use of body language in fortune telling and Ankit Kwatra, founder of Feeding India talked about 21st century social revolution. The audience was also shown some TED talks video from around the world which were highly motivating and fostered learning, inspiration and wonder.
