Department of Cultural Affairs, Chandigarh Administration and Tagore Theatre Society is organising Bollywood star studded 7th edition of ‘Chandigarh Theatre Festival’ from 23rd August to 25th August at Tagore Theatre, Sector-18, Chandigarh. The festival will be showcasing three plays Wrong Number, Barff and Atmakatha.
The First day, August 23rd, will be showcasing “WRONG NUMBER” play, by Facility Theatre, Mumbai. Directed by Raman Kumar play delves into the lives and loves of three married couples. The play stars well-known names like Rakesh Bedi, Tanaaz Irani, Delnaaz Irani, Avtar Gill, Kishwar Merchant, Rajesh Pur and Rahul Bhuchar.
The Second day, August 24th, will be showcasing Hindi play “BARFF” by AGP World Theatre Troupe, Mumbai. Directed by renowned theatre and Bollywood actor Saurabh Shukla play deals with three different personalities and their one story. Barff is a thriller which spans over one night. Desperate parents of an ailing child and an unsuspecting doctor are the three lives caught in the whirlwind of conflicting questions of truth, reality and belief.
The Third day, August 25th, will be showcasing “Atmakatha” play, a play staged by the Pandtik Theatre Group from Kolkata. Written by Mahesh Elkunchwar the story of the play revolves around a couple who got separated 30 years back. Stars like Kulbhushan Kharbandha, Chetna Jalan, Anubha Fatehpuria and Kalpana Jha will be performing.
Play will start at 6:30 PM and Tickets Rs. 300 and Rs. 200 are available at Tagore Theatre Sector-18, Chandigarh.
