Oath taking ceremony was organized for Josephians to sensitize, to be aware about happenings of surroundings and be vigilant also an essay writing and slogan/poster making competition was organized. Winners were awarded with Trophies and Certificates. This week is being celebrated every year and coincides with the birthday of Sardar Vallabh bhai Patel, known to be a man of high integrity. More emphasis should be given to ‘Preventive vigilance’ than ‘Punitive vigilance’
The systems and processes should be set in place as to generate alarm in case if anything happening beyond the prescribed processes and it is important to bring changes in the system so that we can prevent such misconducts. The prime focus of the commission is to curb the pendency of cases.
The purpose of VAW is to generate awareness in the public at large about the bad effects of corruption. On this occasion essay writing and slogan writing were held. Shreya Chawla XA got 1st position, Ayushi IXA and Simranpreet kaur X E got 2nd position, Jashanpreet XE and Vishesh VIIIA scored 3rd position, Akshat VIIIA and Saksham VIIIE scored consolation in essay writing. In slogan writing Arshdeep kaur IXE scored 1st position. Yasheel sharma XA scored 2nd, Anshee Arora XF scored 3rd position, Aakriti XD got consolation.
This will take the message of preventive to the Young minds and they will be in a position to influence the society at large, so everybody’s effort is important.

Similarly, small steps we take to curb Corruption may not give us the immediate result but as “small drops make an ocean—“
So, winds of change will surely blow and one day our society will be free of corruption and we all will sing joyously.
