Vegetable prices rise amid lockdown in Tricity

People are complaining that vegetable vendors are black marketing in Panchkula. One of the resident said that local vegetable seller are charging double rate. Tomato:Rs 80 /kg Onion Rs 60/kg Peas Rs 100 /Kg Potato Rs 40/kg and many more. “Lut macha di hai” Other added that the government has been repeatedly saying that the essential commodities will be freely available during the lockdown. While availability is one aspect, controlling the affordability/pricing for the same is another. In last couple of days the prices of vegetables or some other commodities have doubled/trippled. Government should work on regulating the prices as well along with ensuring the availability.
