Corona impact: Under-the-tree barbers wear PPE kits, sanitize chairs to cut hair

The rapid spread of Corona infection has forced businesses worldwide to make changes in their modes of working. From big multinational companies to small business outlets, everyone is taking precautionary measures to control the spread of corona virus.

As India undergoes the fourth phase of lockdown, relaxations are being given for businesses to open but with suitable precautionary measures in place.

Even the under-the-tree barbers have now started wearing PPE kits and using sanitizers to cut hair. Two barbers Mohammed Tasin and Mohammed Azam cutting hair under a tree in front of an ayurvedic dispensary in Sector 9, Panchkula first sanitize the hands of their customers, the chairs, and their tools before proceeding with the hair cut. They charge Rs 30 for cutting and Rs 20 for shaving.

One of the barber says, “we have been running this shop since last 20 years. We also bought personal protective equipment (PPE) kits for our own safety and customers’ satisfaction.”

The two men with their awareness and proactiveness are setting an example for other businesses on how to care for their customers.
