Panchkula: Students at The British School, Panchkula celebrated teacher’s day with great zeal and enthusiasm. Teachers were greeted with beautiful cards, flowers and gifts pouring out their hearts to express their love and gratitude. The colourful programme consisted of dance performances, small role plays, acts and poem recitation by the students of Classes 1 to 10.
The students recited poems commemorating their teachers’ efforts by thanking them for being their guiding light. Dance, music, mimicry and skit made the day explicable. The students took great effort and ensured that teachers enjoy every minute. A cake cutting ceremony was also organized on this occasion. Teachers participated in various fun games and activities.
On the occasion, the school Director Ms. Geetika Sethi in her speech to the teachers said, “Teacher is a source of information, guide, mentor, a motivator all at the same time. If you are a teacher, no matter in whatever capacity you are you have a very special role to play, because more than anybody else it is you who are shaping the future generations.”
School Principal Ms.Anita Mehra congratulated all the teachers on this day and appreciated the efforts put in by the students to make this day memorable for the teachers.
