Three new Containment Zones in Panchkula

The number of containment zones in Panchkula are increasing day-by-day. The total number of cases in the city now stands at 54. Out of which 28 cases are active.

After Nine new cases of coronavirus positive in Panchkula district on Sunday, DC Mukesh Kumar Ahuja on Friday declared 3 new Containment Zone’s in Panchkula. As per orders of District Magistrate, Panchkula the following areas have been designated as Containment Zone:

  1. Kalka: The areas of gali having houses of Sh. Om Parkash (husband of Meena), Sh. Triveni Singh, Sh. Krishan, Sh. Naveen and Sh. Sher Singh in Pandit Devishankar Colony, Tipra, Kalka and open areas of this gali.
  2. Village Raipur Rani: The areas of gali having houses of Sh. Jasbir, Sh. Sharvan, Sh. Sanjeev Sharma, Sh. Harish near Mungamal Dharmshala in Village Raipur Rani and open areas of this gali.
  3. Sector-l0: The areas falling in House No. 882 to 885 Sector-10 Panchkula and Park in front of the said houses.

The cause of concern for the public is the increase in the cases this month following the relaxation of rules. Most of the cases are travellers and some other are contacts of old cases.

HSVP Estate Officer (Panchkula) Mamta Sharma has been notified as the overall in-charge, who will ensure the supply of essential commodities to the residents of the containment zone.
