1431 challaned in Panchkula for not wearing mask

The district administration and police have intensified strictness against people who are violating the Unlock 1.0 guidelines. On Tuesday Panchkula police issued challans to 51 persons for not wearing face masks and violating social distancing norms in public places. Total over 1,431 persons have been challaned in the past one month. Not wearing face masks attracts a fine of Rs. 500 in Panchkula.

There is rapid increase in COVID-19 cases from last one month in district. Still people are not taking the guidelines seriously and not wearing face masks in public areas.

According to the orders issued by administration It is mandatory to wear masks in public places to check the spread of coronavirus. Anybody found violating the orders will be fined Rs. 500.
