NSUI won three posts in PU student polls

The National Students Union of India (NSUI) candidate Jashan Kamboj won president post in PU student poll council election with 2801 votes on Thursday. The post of vice-president and Secretary was also won by the NSUI candidate Karanvir Singh and Vani Sood with 3758 and 2965 votes respectively. Whereas the post of Join Secretary won by PUSU candidate Karanbir Singh Randhawa with 3153 votes.

This time, 15,602 students were eligible to vote, who decided the fate of 28 candidates vying for the four posts of president, vice-president, secretary and joint secretary of Panjab University Campus Students’ Council (PUCSC). The multi-cornered contest had seven students fighting for the post of president, four for vice-president, eight for secretary and nine for joint secretary.

DAV Sector 10: Vikas, who represented HSA, HPSU and NSUI, wins presidential post.

SD College, Sector 32: Harsh Sharma of SDCU, contesting for president post, wins; Harsh got 1,773 votes, his opponent Dilpreet of SOI alliance got 1,380 votes. 46.7 per cent vote cast was registered in SD College. Out of 6,750 students, only 3,153 voted

SGGSU, Sector 26: Sukhvir Singh wins president election. He got 1,381 votes, Tasneem Kaur polled 1,218 votes

MCM DAV, Sector 36: Suchint Kapoor wins president election; Himani Sharma is vice-president; Bahar Hundal is secretary and Shweta is joint secretary.

PGGC, Sector 11: Avish Kamboj of INSO wins president election.

PGGC, Sector 46: SOPU candidate Rahul Khera wins presidential election.
