Chandigarh: The two-days workshop on creative writing, organised by Chandigarh Literary Society concluded at Beant Singh Memorial Centre. Author, poet, motivational speaker, and corporate trainer from Lucknow, Chandra Shekhar Varma, who conducted the workshop, was excited at the brilliance of the children and their fertile creative ideas. The children of Chandigarh have great imagination and if they continue to pursue their passion for writing, they could reach great heights, he said.
He implored parents not to pressurize children for high scores in studies but allow them to explore the world through experiential learning. Suparna-Saraswati Puri, a columnist and writer, talked about the grammar and how children can expand their vocabulary to improve their writings.
Eighteen children had participated in the workshop including Bhavan Vidyalaya, Carmel Convent, DPS, DAV Public School-8, Learning Paths Mohali, Strawberry Fields, Sacred Heart, and Vivek High School.
