Zirakpur: To celebrate the season of corn and help children understand the significance of the crop in a comprehensive way, Dikshant International School, celebrated Corn Day. During the day children were told the importance of the crop and shown different varieties of it. Students of pre nursery made corn salad with their teacher while Nursery and kindergarten students used art as a tool to understand the life cycle of the crop. Students came dressed up in yellow and green colour outfits. To add to the fun there was a ‘quick corn eating’ game in which children participated with lot of enthusiasm.
“As part of the activity students were also taken for a visit to the nearest corn farm, where they saw for themselves how a corn plant looks like & other practical aspects about corn farming.” Said Mitul Dikshit, Chairman, Dikshant Group of Schools.
