Republic Day Celebrations at The British School Panchkula

<div style=”text-align: justify; “><span style=”font-weight: bold;”>Panchkula: </span>The 68th Republic Day was celebrated in all its solemnity and grandeur at The British School, Panchkula here today. Heavy rain and severe cold could not deter the students’ spirit to celebrate this special day.</div><div style=”text-align: justify;”>The school was decorated with tri colour balloons and kites and a number of activities were organised in the school campus where the students participated enthusiastically. </div><div style=”text-align: justify;”>A special assembly was held in the school where Mohit Dubey of Class IX and Aprajita Naryal of Class X presented a speech on the Republic Day. <span class=”Apple-tab-span” style=”white-space:pre”> </span>During the celebrations all the students of the school were decked up for the Republic Day in the colours saffron, white and green. The students recited patriotic poems and sang songs. Students of Class I recited the poem “Three colours in the Indian Flag” and Class 2 students paid a tribute to the Indian soldiers by reciting a beautiful poem ‘Pushp ki abhilasha’. </div><div style=”text-align: justify;”>Class 3 students sang ‘Takat vatan ki hum se hain’ and students of Class 4 sang ‘Jhanda Uncha rahe hamara’.   </div><div style=”text-align: justify;”>Children danced on the tunes of ‘Hum India wale’ and were in true Indian spirits. All the students took the Indian pledge and sang National Anthem.</div><div style=”text-align: justify;”>School Principal, Ms.Anita Mehra congratulated everyone on Republic Day and encouraged the students, citizens of India to safeguard the heritage and traditions of our country.</div><div style=”text-align: justify;”>Director of the school, Mr.Sanjay Sethi hoisted the National Flag and addressed the students. He told how the students of today hold the future of the country in their hands. He urged them to do their best and feel proud to be Indians. </div>
