An Athelo Fest was organized at St. Joseph’s Sr. Sec. School. However, it was a sports Day exclusively for teachers meant as a stress buster before the quelling new session begins. The event was inaugurated by members of the Management Mr. Paramdeep Singh, Ms. Lily Sebastian and Principal Ms. Monica Chawla. Normally, teachers are seen cheering on students but today in the school grounds the atmosphere was zinging with the enthusiasm and zeal of all staff members. The competitors right from the Kindergarten upto the Senior Secondary Blocks were pumped up with tremendous energy and vitality.
Games such as short put, Rugby and Races like caterpillar, Hoola hooh, Relay were enjoyed immensely and the school grounds reverberated with the thunderous applause and cheers form the participants’ peers. It was a real treat to watch the Coordinators competiting in a specially designed race. There were about 65 winners who won in the various competitions.
The Physical Education Faculty were on their toes, planning & organizing the novel games and races conducted. Principal Ma’am actively cheered on all the participants and very sportingly even participated in the Short Put to the delight of the staff. She was very happy to see the team work and sportsmanship spirit displayed by all the members. It was truly a day well spent away from the normal routine of teaching, learning and assessing. The programme concluded by thanking Lord Almighty for bestowing this St. Joseph’s Family moments of togetherness and celebration worth treasuring.
